Baltimore, MD The MPSSAA is proud to announce the continued support from The Allstate Foundation in their commitment to the Student Athlete Leadership Conference and the Minds in Motion Student Athlete Scholarships.

This will be the fifth year that The Allstate Foundation has supported the Minds in Motion Scholarship Program which has assisted a total of 44 very deserving student athletes throughout the state. This year's recipients will be honored at a luncheon at M&T Bank Stadium on Tuesday, June 5th.

"The Allstate Foundation is proud to recognize these outstanding students for their stellar performance in the classroom and with their extracurricular activities," said Shelva Clemons, Communications Manager for The Allstate Foundation. "Clearly these young leaders are the future and it is an honor to support them in their future endeavors for higher education."

In addition, The Allstate Foundation grant will be used to support the annual MPSSAA Student Athlete Leadership Conference which will be held at Reservoir High School in Howard County on August 7th. The goal of the program is to develop student leadership skills that enhance sportsmanship, promote teamwork, time management, perspective, inclusion, healthy lifestyle and community service. One of the workshops at the conference will be devoted to promoting safe teen driving.   The Allstate Foundation will bring in the ""Arrive Alive Tour""; a high-tech simulator which will allows students to experience, in a controlled environment, the potential consequences of distracted driving.
