Silberberg topped Marcus Byrd of North Point's 145 total and the 146 total of Linganore's Ryan Cole. Both Byrd and Cole shot scintillating 69's on the first day of the tournament as the low round score for the tournament.

On the team side of the ledger, Urbana HS hauled in their third consective Class 4A/3A team championship with a total of 615 to overcome Walt Whitman's 621 and Broadneck's 636.  In Class 2A/1A, McDonough improved on last year's runner-up finish to bring home their second state golf title with a score of 648, edging Marriotts Ridge who shot a team total of 651.

The MPSSAA wishes to thank this year's State Golf Committee, especially Director Jeff Ibex for their time and effort throughout the season, but especially during the District and State Tournaments. You are each invaluable in your service to our student-athletes.  Another BIG thank you goes to the golf course management and employees at the University of Maryland - College Park for providing us with a top flight facility that we are proud to play our championships on.  We cannot say enough about how much we appreciate the cooperation and assistance that we continually receive. Thank YOU!!!
