Kicking things off on Thursday, Reservoir edged Huntingtown, 1-0 for the Class 3A title, the first girls soccer title in school history.  Friday's late game featured Bethesda-CC topped Bowie 4-1 for the top spot in Class 4A, their fifth state crown and third consecutive.  Saturday's play started with a nail-biting Class 1A championship game where Oakdale outlasted Mountain Ridge 2-1 in PK's (4-3)  for a first state title in the school's first year of existence.  Last, but not least, Middletown reeled in their fifth crown and first since 2004 by defeating Glenelg in the Class 2A Final by a score of 2-1.

Our thanks go out to the State Girls Soccer Committee for the extra time and effort that goes into organizing and running the region tournaments. Thanks too to all of our State Tournament workers for their contributions over the three days of Championship games which made this year's tournaments one of the most successful ever.  Finally, our sincere appreciation to the University of Maryland - Baltimore County's Athletic Department and staff for the first rate cooperation and assistance provided to us.  Thank you for allowing us to hold our State Finals on your campus and for always making us feel welcomed there.
