2021 State Championship Recap

The MPSSAA 2021 State Championships crowned 28 team state champions over the course of two days for Baseball, Softball, Boys Lacrosse, Girls Lacrosse, Girls  Tennis, Boys Tennis, Boy Track and Field, Girls Track and Field.  Congratulations to all schools and participants.  

Here is a recap of all of the our state championship winners.  

Baseball

Class 1A - Catoctin defeated St. Michael's, 10-3 
Class 2A - La Plata defeated Sparrows Point, 8-7
Class 3A - Chopticon defeated Atholton, 4-2
Class 4A - Sherwood defeated Severna Park, 5-4 (8)
Sportsmanship Winner: Sparrows Point HS
 

Softball

Class 1A - Patterson Mill defeated Allegany, 4-1
Class 2A - Queen Anne's defeated Calvert, 2-1 (8)
Class 3A - Chesapeake (AA) defeated Reservoir, 3-0
Class 4A - Catonsville defeated North County, 1-0
Sportsmanship Winner: Reservoir HS
 

Girls Lacrosse

Class 1A - Liberty defeated Fallston, 10-9
Class 2A - Queen Anne's defeated Middletown, 13-10
Class 3A - Marriotts Ridge defeated C. Milton Wright, 16-11
Class 4A - Broadneck defeated Arundel, 12-11
Sportsmanship Winner: Queen Anne's
 

Boys Lacrosse

Class 1A - Fallston defeated Smithsburg, 13-8
Class 2A - Hereford defeated Kent Island, 5-4
Class 3A - Urbana defeated Towson, 7-6
Class 4A - Severna Park defeated Catonsville, 11-3
