Milton Wright in overtime, 1-0 for their eighth state title.  On Friday, 11/16 Class 4A South River battled defending champ Bethesda-Chevy Chase through PK's, as they netted four to their two and won 2-1 for their third state crown.  Play continued on Saturday, 11/17 with the Class 1A match up as Manchester Valley successfully defended their title against Brunswick, 3-1 for their second straight crown.  Play wrapped up with a thriller as Middletown successfully defended their title by nipping Fallston, 1-0 with less than 30 seconds left in regulation.  This was Middletown's 7th overall title and 3rd in a row.  Middletown was also presented with the tournament Sportsmanship Award.      The MPSSAA extends congratulations to all of the schools that participated in this year's tournament and we appreciate your cooperation and support throughout as we all battled the lingering storm effects. Our sincerest gratitude to the State Girls' Soccer Committee, especially Director Marianne Shultz, and all of the region tournament directors for another outstanding job of planning leading up to this culminating event. Once again, we cannot thank UMBC enough for their hospitality, cooperation, and support in working with us to provide first class facilities for our soccer championships.  And last but not least, thank you fans for your support.
