Scholarship Application

     The application for the 2017 Minds In Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarship is  currently available below as of March 1, 2017.  Scroll to the bottom of this page to access the online application.  Please note that the deadline for submission is 12 Noon on Friday, April 7, 2017.

     $1,000 scholarships toward post-secondary education will be awarded to outstanding senior male and female scholar-athletes attending a MPSSAA member school.  For 2017, each of the nine Districts that comprise the MPSSAA will have at least one recipient with the remaining selections being "at-large" up to a total of 12-14 recipients.  Students with an immediate family member (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, ward, daughter or son and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) employed by The Allstate Foundation ("Sponsor"), Allstate Insurance Company, any Allstate Insurance agency and persons living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win this scholarship.  An eligible minor must have his/her parent's or legal guardian's permission to enter.  Void where prohibited by law.  Program is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.

     To apply, applicants shall have a minimum 3.25 unweighted GPA and have participated in MPSSAA-recognized interscholastic athletics or Allied/Unified/Corollary sports only.  Please complete all fields in the application below, check the "agree to terms" box, type in the Captcha code, and then click "submit" to automatically email the application to MPSSAA.  The deadline for submission is 12 Noon on 4/7/17.  Male and female winners will be selected and then notified via email on 5/5/17.  Scholarship recipients and their parent/guardians will be honored at a luncheon to be held on Thursday, June 1st at M&T Bank Stadium.

List your top ten non-athletic achievements, awards, or community contributions (i.e. Honor Societies, Music-related honors, Scouting honors [include rank], and Non-Service Learning Fundraising/Charitable Activities with the approximate # of hours of involvement for each, if applicable.  Do NOT list popularity contests, All-Conference/All-County/All-City/All-State/All-Metro designations, Honor Roll, Who’s Who, poster/essay type contests, and Service Learning activities required for graduation.

     The MPSSAA reserves the right to withdraw this scholarship in the event that a selected student-athlete violates their school system’s Code of Conduct, does not graduate in good standing, or cannot be present at the Awards Luncheon to receive their scholarship.
