  • Football State Finalists Set Sail For Annapolis On Thursday, 12/8 Through Saturday, 12/10!!

    Our eight State Finalists will have to wait an extra week to claim a state title at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium as the Navy football team hosts their conference championship on 12/3. Class 3A will kick off the finals on Thursday night, 12/8 at 7 PM, followed by Class 4A on Friday, 12/9 at 7:30 PM. Two games are slated for Saturday, 12/10 with Class 1A taking to the field at 3:30 PM and Class 2A wrapping things up at 7 PM. Select the link inside for the precise State Finals schedule.

    Seven of the eight State Finals were decided by a single goal as supportive fans decked out in school colors were treated to a talented display of soccer prowess by all of the finalists. The eventual champions had to grind to their titles as they held on for dear life against evenly matched opponents until the final horn.   • State Volleyball Champs Battle Through Tough Competition In Earning 2016 Crowns!!

    Fan support was tremendous on the final day of the volleyball season and the players on the court did not disappoint. Matches seesawed back and forth as teams tried to gain momentum and keep it. After the final whistle, Smithsburg HS (Class 1A) and Northwest HS (Class 4A) successfully defended last year's titles. Williamsport (Class 2A) returned to the winners' circle for the 14th time while Atholton claimed the crown in Class 3A, their first state volleyball title in 37 years!

  • Classification Recommendations Put Forth For 2017-2019 Academic Years!

    The MPSSAA Classification Committee met on Tuesday, 11/1 and voted to put forth recommended region and section alignments for the 2017-19 academic years. The recommendations will be presented to the MPSSAA Board of Control at their 12/7 meeting for final approval.     It was a perfect fall day for field hockey at Washington College to be enjoyed by players and fans alike. Chesapeake-AA won their first ever state title in the Class 3A match-up while Hereford prevailed in Class 2A for a three-peat and their 9th overall crown. In Class 1A, Liberty posted a shutout for their 3rd title and first in 34 years while South River also rolled to a shutout for their 5th crown.
