Warrior Lacrosse Named As Official Lacrosse Equipment Provider Of MPSSAA!!

The MPSSAA Executive Council voted to accept the contract proposal from Warrior Lacrosse at yesterday's meeting as the official lacrosse equipment provider of the MPSSAA beginning with the Spring, 2017 season and running through the end of the Spring, 2021 season. Warrior takes over the lacrosse sponsorship from Harrow who had been an MPSSAA sponsor for the past seven years.

State Championship Football Finals Move To The Naval Academy In Annapolis!!

After a 14-year run at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore, the State Football Finals will have a new site this fall. The United State Naval Academy in Annapolis will be welcoming our teams and fans to the spectacular Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium for the State Finals on December 1st through 3rd.

The 2016 Student-Leadership Conference set the tone for the new school year by inspiring the attendees to be leaders not only on their teams, but in their school, and community. The final countdown to the start of the 7th annual MPSSAA Student‐Athlete Leadership Conference sponsored by the Allstate Foundation is underway! The conference kicks off in only six days on Thursday, August 4th at Gaithersburg High School in Montgomery County. Attendees at the first MPSSAA Coaches Conference entitled “Coaches Promoting Education-Based Athletics" on Saturday, 6/18 at Paint Branch High School gave highly positive reviews of their sessions. The conference featured nationally recognized motivational speakers including Associate Athletic Director at North Carolina State Dereck Whittenburg, Director of Health and Fitness Jimmy Page and former Baltimore County Coordinator of Athletics Ron Belinko. 2016 Minds In Motion Scholarships Winners Receive Sage Advice!!

The MPSSAA honored the 18 recipients of the 2016 MPSSAA and The Allstate Foundation Minds In Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarships at a luncheon at M&T Bank Stadium on Thursday, June 2nd. In addition to receiving a $1,000 scholarship, the recipients received some sage advice from University of Maryland Head Wrestling Coach Kerry McCoy and 2012 Minds In Motion Scholarship recipient Anna Davis, a recent Davidson College grad. 2016 State Baseball Champs Win With Total Team Effort!!

The State Baseball Championships have closed out the 2015-16 school year in fine fashion with highly skilled games demonstrating that total team efforts win ball games. Bel Air (4A) and Brunswick (1A) both successfully defended last year's titles while La Plata (2A) won for the second time and Huntingtown (3A) won their first ever. 2016 State Track & Field Champions Grab Title Crowns!!

The 2016 State Track and Field champions dealt with stiff competition and stiffling heat over three days at Morgan State University. Prevailing over the competition and the elements were Boonsboro (1A), Lackey (2A), Urbana (3A), and Charles H. Flowers (4A) on the girls side. On the boys side of the ledger, Fairmont Heights (1A), Westlake (2A), Oxon Hill (3A), and Northwest (4A) took home top prize. Read more for links to complete results by classification.
