The Executive Council and Board of Control both voted and approved of proposed changes made by the State Tournament Committees for Basketball, Wrestling, Golf, and Lacrosse among the usual order of business in Ocean City on Thursday and Friday in conjunction with the MSADA State Athletic Directors' Conference. The 2nd annual Coaches' Conference was held Saturday, April 22, 2017 at North Point High School for fall and winter coaches. By all measures, it received high marks from the attendees and was deemed another resounding success, thanks to the hard work and effort of the Conference Committee led by Earl Hawkins.

The MPSSAA is saddened by the news of the passing of Mildred H. Murray yesterday, 3/29. Mrs. Murray served 43-years in the Baltimore County Public Schools system as a teacher, coach and administrator before retiring in 1991 as the Coordinator of Physical Education and Athletics. Not only did Mildred serve the MPSSAA as the first female President in 1978, she served as the first MPSSAA State Committee Director for Volleyball, Girls Basketball, Field Hockey, Softball, and Girls Lacrosse.

Charles Hudson Honored With NFHS State Award For Outstanding Service!!

The MPSSAA honored Charles Hudson with the NFHS State Award for Outstanding Service at a pregame ceremony prior to the Boys Class 4A State Basketball Championship game on Saturday, March 11 at 8 p.m. in front of numerous friends and family. The award is in recognition of service and contributions in support of the MPSSAA and high school athletics which for Mr. Hudson, span at least 70 years!
