The 2019 State Volleyball Championships have come to another scintillating conclusion at the University of Maryland-College Park's Ritchie Coliseum with a little something old and a little something new in the winner's circle at the end of the day.  Don't forget that you can relive every play of every title game with unlimited free viewing and DVD purchases, usually within 72 hours of the original contest, on the NFHS Network.  Select the links below to view a summary of the State Championship results as well as complete State and Region tourney brackets.

The something "old" was Century prevailing in Class 2A for their second state title and Smithsburg cruising in Class 1A for the fourteenth time.  The something "new" was Arundel triumphing for their first ever State Volleyball title in Class 4A and Colonel Zadok Magruder duplicating the same first-time-ever feat in Class 3A.  In addition, Arundel took home the Lesley W. Cooke Tournament Sportsmanship Award.  Way to go, Wildcats!  Congratulations to each of the 2019 State Champions and State Finalists for a memorable display of fabulous volleyball skills at the University of Maryland-College Park's Ritchie Coliseum.

The MPSSAA extends a sincere "THANK YOU" to the many who unselfishly volunteer their time and effort as members and former members of the State Volleyball Tournament Committee led by Director Sybil Kessinger.  This event could never have happened without you!  Another "THANK YOU" to the UMD Campus Recreation Services and the Ritchie Coliseum staff, especially facility manager Lawrence Moody for their first class hospitality and assistance in hosting our event at their beautiful facility!
