Soccer State Champions Kick It Into High Gear To Earn 2019 Titles!!

     Congratulations to each of the 2019 State Champions and State Finalists for a memorable display of soccer skills and teamwork on the turf at Loyola University!  Don't forget that you can relive every play of every title game with unlimited free viewing and DVD purchases which are usually available within 72 hours of the original contest on the NFHS Network.  Select the links below to view a summary of the State Championship results as well as complete State and Region tourney brackets.

     On the Boys side of the ledger Mountain Ridge (1A) posted their third title along with winning the tournament sportsmanship award, Century (2A) captured their second state crown, Wilde Lake (3A) their eighth title, but first since 1997 and Walt Whitman (4A) successfully defended last year's title for their twelfth overall.  The Patterson Mill Girls (1A) savored their first ever state soccer title, Calvert (2A) had to go overtime twice to win their second crown, while the Perry Hall (4A) and Northern-Calvert Girls (3A) successfully defended last year's states crowns, the second for both.  Congrats to the Severna Park Girls for being awarded the tournament sportsmanship award.  Way to go Falcons!!  

     The MPSSAA extends a sincere "THANK YOU" to our State Semifinal host sites and staff members at Gaithersburg, Linganore, Montgomery Blair, and Northeast-AA High Schools along with the many who unselfishly give their time and effort as members and former members of the Girls and Boys State Soccer Tournament Committees respectively led by Directors Marianne Shultz and Matt Roberts.  This event could not have happened without you!  Another "THANK YOU" to the Loyola University Athletic Department for their first class hospitality and assistance in hosting our event at their beautiful facility!
