Cooke Volleyball Tournament Sportsmanship Award was presented to La Plata HS.  As an added bonus, the  final championship matches were videotaped and can be viewed on the internet.      There are many people to thank for the success of this year's tournament.  First, the MPSSAA extends their deepest appreciation to the University of Maryland's Campus Recreation Services and Facility Manager Lawrence Moody for their unwavering  support and cooperation in continuing to allow Ritchie Coliseum to be the "home" for our tournament.  Thanks, too, to the many workers and committee members who come together each year at this time to make sure the state championships are memorable for all of the spectators and participants. We also want to thank the members of the State Volleyball Committee, especially Director Peggy Troiano and Tournament Director Sybil Modispacher, for their committment throughout the season and through the regionals to making volleyball special and the tournaments extraordinary.  We look forward to next year being even better!
