2018 Region Tennis Tournaments Now Scheduled To Conclude By Tuesday, 5/22!!

     Three of Eight region tennis tournaments are complete while the other five aim to be completed by Tuesday, 5/22 with the seeding meeting for the State Tournament to follow on Wednesday evening, 5/23.  Select the links below to view the available region tourney results and the state brackets for each of the five events: Boys Singles,  Girls Singles, Boys Doubles, Girls Doubles, and Mixed Doubles.  The brackets and pairings will be made available as soon after the seeding meeting as possible, thanks to our friends at County Sports Zone.  Be sure to follow your favorite player throughout the State Tournament as County Sports Zone will be updating results at the conclusion of each match!

     State Championship play begins on Friday, 5/25 at the Wilde Lake Tennis Center, at 10 AM (players and coaches shall report by 9:30 AM) with two preliminary rounds.  Play continues on Saturday, 5/26  with the Semifinal round at 10 AM and the Consolation Round and Finals one hour after the completion of the Semifinals, weather permitting.  The Tennis "Fan Focus" also provides additional information that may help make your visit to the State Championships more pleasant.

     The format for all matches is single elimination (best two out of three 6-game sets with a 7-point tiebreaker at 6 games all).  A five minute break between the second and third set will be allowed, if requested.  In the event of inclement weather or postponement, the State Tournament Committee reserves the right to modify play or cancel for the day.  In the event of a postponement where indoor courts are unavailable, all Friday, 5/25 matches will be played on Saturday, 5/26.  If it is raining on Saturday, 5/26 and indoor courts are unavailable, play will resume at 9 AM on Monday, 5/28.  If additional matches are required, the Tournament Committee will modify the schedule.
