2007 MPSSAA Football State Tournament Results

On Nov. 15, the MPSSAA was officially notified that Henry E. Lackey High School football team would forfeit three contests.
In adjusting the final standings to account for the three forfeit losses, Lackey maintained enough points to remain among the top four teams in the Class 3A South region. As a result, Lackey is eligible to compete in the Regional Football Tournament.
It is the recommendation of the MPSSAA Football Committee that Lackey now be considered the lowest seeded team in the region and thus compete this weekend as the visiting team against Chopticion in the first round.

The 2007 MPSSAA Football state tournament teams are set based on the top four teams from each region at the conclusion of the regular season.  The top four teams with the highest point average based on the MPSSAA football points system advance to the regional semifinals.  Winning teams will move on to the regional finals, followed by the state semifinals and the state championship games, which are being held at M & T Bank Stadium.
