Kicking things off on Thursday, Magruder bested Urbana 2-0 for the Class 4A title, the third soccer title in their history.  Friday's game featured Reservoir edging Northern-Calvert in overtime 1-0 for the top spot in Class 3A and their first ever state boys soccer title.  Saturday's play began with the Class 1A championship game where Mountain Ridge overcame Brunswick, 1-0 to also win their first state boys soccer crown.  Last, but not least, Marriotts Ridge topped Liberty 1-0 to successfully defend their Class 2A title from last year.

Our thanks go out to the State Boys Soccer Committee for the extra time and effort that goes into organizing and running the region tournaments. Thanks too to all of our State Tournament workers for their contributions over the three days of Championship games which made this year's tournaments one of the most successful ever.  Finally, our sincere appreciation to the University of Maryland - Baltimore County's Athletic Department and staff for the first rate cooperation and assistance provided to us.  Thank you for allowing us to hold our State Finals on your campus and for always making us feel welcomed there.
