The State Golf Championships have concluded at the University of Maryland - College Park golf course as last year's team champions successfully defended their titles and two new male and female individual champions were crowned.  Select from the links below to view the complete male, female, and team results or a simplified results summary.  Congratulations to all who participated!

In Class 4A/3A, Winston Churchill posted a two day total of 632 to bring home their 3rd consecutive state team golf title and 14th overall .  In Class 2A/1A, Marriotts Ridge continued their streak of state crowns for the fifth consecutive year as they scored 633 over the two days of competition.  Bethesda - Chevy Chase's Nick Roberson scored a four stroke victory over Marriott Ridge's Jackson Courtney, 144-148 for the Boys Individual State title.   Meanwhile, the Girls Individual State title had to go to three playoff holes before Churchill's Lena Capoccia prevailed over Howard's Jackie Cherry.  Both girls shot 151 over the two days.

The MPSSAA deeply appreciates the time and effort of golf pro Jeff Maynor and his staff at the University of Maryland-College Park golf course for their hospitality and expert assistance in hosting our tournament.  We would also like to thank our State Golf Committee, led by director Eric Michael, for their tireless efforts not only during the three days of the tournament but throughout the season and at the district tourneys leading up to States.  We look forward to seeing everyone next year out on the links for another great display of golf skills!
