Mission Accomplished!

     The State Championship Finals have come to a rousing conclusion at UMBC with three teams accomplishing their preseason goal of winning a state title.      Tuesday night, Queen Anne's pulled out a heart-stopping 7-6 win over Glenelg for the Class 2A/1A title.  On Wednesday Hereford staved off a relentless River Hill squad for the Class 3A/2A crown by a score of 13-9. Tournament play concluded with the Class 4A/3A title game where Severna Park prevailed over Wootton by a score of 13-7 and Queen Anne's HS was presented with the 13th annual tournament sportsmanship award.

     Congratulations to all of our participants, coaches, officials, and spectators for another memorable season.  Our thanks go to the athletic department and support staff at UMBC for their hospitality and cooperation as our tournament finals site.  in addition, we 'd like to thank Annapolis HS, Arundel HS, and Broadneck HS, their athletic departments  and staffs for doing an exceptional job hosting all of the state semifinals.  Last but not least, a hearty thank you to the members of Boys Lacrosse State Tournament Committee for their invaluable time and effort all season long.  We hope to see everyone back at UMBC next year for more of the "fastest game on two feet".
