The Football Finals have punctuated the end of the Fall season as three teams successfully defended their titles in Class 4A with Northwest, Class 3A with Franklin, and Class 1A with Fort Hill.  Joining the State Champion ranks for the first time was Frederick Douglass of Prince George's County in Class 2A.  Douglass also won the John Cox Tournament Sportsmanship Award.  Don't forget that you can replay every exciting State Finals play with FREE on-demand archival viewing and DVD purchases via the NFHS Network.  Select the links below to view the State Finals results and game stats.

We would like to thank all of the hearty fans who trekked out in the cold and the rain to cheer their teams on.  Thanks too, to the Maryland Stadium Authority for their superb cooperation and planning to hold our championships at M&T Bank Stadium and provide such a memorable venue for all.  As always, there are many people behind the scenes that assist with the management of the region tourneys and State Semifinals.  Our sincerest thanks to the State Football Committee led by Mike Calhoun for their time and assistance this season.  We are also appreciative of the schools and staff members that hosted State Semifinal games at their sites. Last but not least, a tip of the cap to our crack, A-team crew working the State Finals.  It is a pleasure to work with such conscientious and reliable individuals as yourselves.  Dream big and we may see your team at M&T Bank Stadium next year!!
