2017 Minds In Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarship Winners Announced!!

     Fourteen recipients have been chosen for the 2017 Minds In Motion Scholar-Athlete Scholarships provided by The Allstate Foundation and will receive their $1,000 scholarships at a luncheon held in their honor on Thursday, June 1st in the Ravens' Team Locker Room at M&T Bank Stadium beginning at 12 Noon.  This year's guest speaker will be the Dr. Karen A. Stout, President and CEO of Achieving the Dream, Inc. and President Emerita of Montgomery County (PA) Community College.  Dr. Stout is also a graduate of Bel Air HS and has the distinction of being the first ever "Female Athlete of The Year" by the then Baltimore Evening Sunpaper.

     This the tenth year for this highly competitive scholarship program which awards $1,000 toward post-secondary education to each of the female and male senior student-athletes chosen who attend an MPSSAA school and participate in MPSSAA recognized sports. This year's winners are:

     "The Allstate Foundation is proud to reward outstanding students in Maryland for their stellar performance in the classroom along with their extracurricular activities," said Kyla O'Brien, The Allstate Foundation spokesperson.  "Strong young leaders are the future and it is an honor to support them in their endeavors for higher education."

     Students with an immediate family member (spouse, mother, father, sister, brother, ward, daughter or son and their respective spouses, regardless of where they reside) employed by The Allstate Foundation ("Sponsor"), Allstate Insurance Company, any Allstate Insurance agency and persons living in their same households, whether or not related, are not eligible to enter or win this scholarship.  An eligible minor must have his/her parent's or legal guardian's permission to enter.  Void where prohibited by law.  Program is subject to all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
